I will be traveling to Orlando, Florida for business. This will be my second trip to Orlando. The first trip was to the NFMT 2018 Conference, which is for Facilities Managers. It was held at the convention center, which was walking distance to my hotel. Orlando seems like a great place to visit at a much more leisurely pace. It seems like the city gives extra care and attention to their image.
I remember the ride from the airport to the hotel. It was amazing how many hotels we passed on the way. There was road construction along the way. Even that seemed much nicer construction than what you would see elsewhere.
On these business trips, it is difficult to get out for sight-seeing. Part of challenge is getting the energy after a long day of attending educational sessions and walking around. Another challenge is that conferences tend to end at around 5 pm, which leaves you little time to go explore. Many tourist attractions close at 5 pm. And, then when you are on a business trip, you are still working. Therefore, there is work and emails waiting for you.
This upcoming trip will not be too different. Rather than a conference, this trip is for some training. Therefore, I do expect to feel a bit drained afterward. This trip will not be near the convention center. My hotel will be a few blocks away from the training location, giving me the opportunity to walk a bit and look around.
Orlando seems like it would be a great place to take your family to visit, besides visiting the theme parks. It helps Orlando tremendously that travel to and from there is more affordable than other destinations. No doubt there are all manner of resorts and attractions for visiting families. I think that on this trip, I shall make an effort to see what other tourist attractions are available for future travel with my family.
